Description

The Bol M/33 is a small LED table lamp: a rounded dome shade on a slim stem, finished in Textured White. It is made from aluminium, brass and polycarbonate. It stands 33cm tall, and the shade is 17cm across and 10cm deep, so it sits comfortably on a bedside table or a narrow shelf. The light source is an integrated LED, which means there is no bulb to buy or replace. It draws 8.4W and gives 349 lumens of warm 2700K light, with a CRI of 90, so colours, wood and skin tones look natural under it. It dims on a TRIAC circuit with a compatible dimmer, letting you bring it right down for a quiet evening.

We see it in a bedroom or a living room, where its 349 lumens give a soft, gentle glow rather than a bright working light: on a bedside table, beside a reading chair or on a sideboard in the evening. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, with a 200cm cable, and it stands on a small fixing base 4.4cm across, so it suits a spot where the lamp will stay put, such as either side of a bed or a built-in shelf. Its warm 2700K light sits happily alongside other warm lighting in the same room.

The Textured White finish runs over the shade, the stem and the round foot, so the lamp reads as one simple form. It is a Class I fitting, which means it is earthed, and it has its own connection box that your electrician will need to allow room for. The design is by Estudi Manel Molina. As a practical note, decide where it will live before the electrician visits, since the lamp is fixed in place rather than carried from room to room.
