Description

The Bol M/33 is a dome table lamp in Textured Sand Yellow, a rounded shade set on a slim stem that rises from a small disc foot. It is made from aluminium, brass and polycarbonate, and stands 33cm tall, with a shade 17cm across and 10cm high. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 8.4W and gives 349 lumens at a warm 2700K, with a CRI of 90, so wood, fabric and skin tones look true beneath it. It is TRIAC dimmable and works with a compatible dimmer.

Its size and warm light make it a natural fit for the bedroom and the living room. On a bedside table it suits an evening read, and on a side table, sideboard or shelf it adds a low, cosy light after dark. Turned down on the dimmer, it settles into a gentle glow for winding down. The finish, Textured Sand Yellow, has a soft, matt surface that sits comfortably beside natural wood, linen and pale walls. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it is made for use indoors.

Unlike a lamp you simply set down, the Bol M/33 is fixed in place on a 4.4cm fixing base. It runs on mains power and is wired in by a qualified electrician. It has a 200cm cable and a connection box measuring 18cm by 6cm by 6cm, and as a Class I fitting it is earthed. The design is by Estudi Manel Molina, who paired a deep dome with a slender stem. Because it stays where it is fitted, decide on its spot before the electrician arrives, within reach of that 200cm cable.
