The Bol M/33 is a compact dome table lamp with a rounded shade in Textured Pebble Grey, set on a slim stem rising from a small foot. It stands 33cm tall, and the shade is 17cm across and 10cm tall, so it sits comfortably on a bedside table, a shelf or the corner of a sideboard. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is never a bulb to buy or change. It draws 8.4W and gives 349lm of warm 2700K light with a colour rendering index of 90, which keeps skin tones, fabrics and wood looking true.

We think it suits a bedroom, where it gives a soft pool of light beside the bed, or a living room, on a side table next to a reading chair. It is TRIAC dimmable, so with a compatible dimmer you can bring it down to a calm evening glow. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. It runs on 230V mains power and is wired in by an electrician, so it suits a fixed spot you have planned, with a cable 200cm long running to its connection box, which measures 18cm by 6cm by 6cm.

The design is by Estudi Manel Molina. The lamp is made from aluminium, brass and polycarbonate, and the Textured Pebble Grey finish gives the shade a soft, matt, slightly grainy surface that sits quietly against pale walls and natural wood. A fixing base of 4.4cm holds the stem in place, keeping the footprint small on a crowded bedside table. As a mains fitting, it is for a qualified electrician to install, and once in place it gives warm, dimmable light with no bulb ever to replace.
