Description

The Bol M/33 is a compact table lamp: a rounded dome shade on a slim stem, rising from a small round foot, all in Textured Terracotta, a warm earthy colour with a textured surface. It stands 33cm tall, the shade is 17cm across and 10cm deep, and the fixing base is 4.4cm across. The light comes from an integrated LED of 8.4W giving 349 lumens at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, so colours and skin tones look natural under it. Because the LED is built in, there is no bulb to buy or change.

We think it suits a bedside table or a living room, where a low pool of warm light is often more welcome than a bright one overhead. It is small enough for a side table or a narrow shelf, and several in a row sit comfortably along a long surface. It is TRIAC dimmable, so on a compatible dimmer you can turn it down for a quieter evening. It is rated IP20, which means it is for dry rooms only. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, so once it is in place it becomes a fixed part of the room.

It is made from aluminium, brass and polycarbonate, and it is a Class I fitting. The design is by Estudi Manel Molina, and it keeps things simple: a dome, a stem and a foot, with nothing added. It has a cable 200cm long and a connection box measuring 18cm by 6cm by 6cm, both worth knowing when you and your electrician decide where it will sit.
