Description

The Bol M/33 is a compact table lamp with a soft dome shade on a slim stem and a small round foot, finished in Textured Olive Grey. It stands 33cm tall, and the shade is 17cm across and 10cm tall. Inside is an integrated LED, so there is never a bulb to buy or change. It draws 8.4W and gives 349 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps skin tones, wood and fabrics looking true to colour. It dims on a compatible TRIAC dimmer, so the same lamp can sit at full brightness for reading and drop to a low glow late in the evening.

Its size suits a bedside table, where it gives enough light to read by without filling the whole room, and a matching pair either side of a bed looks especially neat. In a living room it sits comfortably on a sideboard, a console or a shelf, adding warm, low light at the end of the day. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The lamp runs on 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician.

The design is by Estudi Manel Molina. The lamp is made from aluminium, brass and polycarbonate, and the Textured Olive Grey finish gives the dome shade a fine, slightly grained surface that looks calm in daylight and warm once the lamp is on. It has a 200cm cable and a connection box measuring 18cm by 6cm by 6cm, and it stands on a fixing base of 4.4cm. That small base is the practical point: the lamp takes up very little room, so it fits a narrow bedside table or a busy shelf with space left over for a book and a glass of water.
