Description

This modern wall light from our Blink range is a compact disc of ribbed glass that sits close to the wall. It measures 13.2cm across and projects just 8.2cm, so it reads as a neat round of light rather than a bulky fitting. The disc is blown glass in the Frost finish, a soft frosted white, and fine parallel ribs run edge to edge across its face. Those ribs break up the light as it passes through, giving a soft, even glow with texture in it instead of a hard bright spot. The fitting is made from iron and blown glass and takes one GX53 lamp.

Because it projects so little, it suits places where a deeper fitting would be in the way: a hallway, a landing, a narrow corridor or the wall beside a bed. In a bedroom, a pair either side of the headboard gives a gentle light to wind down by in the evening. In a living room or dining room it adds a calm layer of light to the walls alongside your main lighting. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it is not for outdoors. It is an on-off switched fitting, so it works from an ordinary light switch rather than a dimmer.

The fitting pairs an iron body with its blown glass disc, and the Frost finish keeps its look quiet and modern. Even switched off, the ribs give the glass texture and catch the daylight.
