Description

Our Blink wall light is a small ribbed glass disc in a glossy Jade green, made from iron and blown glass. The round glass front is moulded in fine concentric ribs that ring inward to a little centre point, giving the colour depth and texture that reads well from across a room and rewards a closer look. It measures 13.2cm in diameter and projects 8.2cm from the wall, so it sits neatly in places where a deeper fitting would get in the way. It takes one GX53 lamp.

We would put it wherever a wall needs a touch of colour: a hallway or landing, beside a bed in place of a bedside lamp, or along a stair wall, where its slim 8.2cm projection keeps it out of the way. Fitted in pairs either side of a bed, a sideboard or a fireplace, the two green discs bring a calm symmetry to the wall. It suits modern rooms most naturally, though the deep green sits just as happily against warm woods, soft plaster tones and painted panelling. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, indoors.

It is made from iron and blown glass, finished in Jade. It is an on-off fitting, worked from a switch, rather than one made for a dimmer, and it runs on 220-240V mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 3 year guarantee. For styling, let the green do the work: set it against a pale wall to make the colour sing, or against a dark one for a richer, moodier look, and keep nearby fittings simple so the ribbed glass stays the focal point.
