Description

The Knightsbridge BT9EB is a black polycarbonate eyelid bezel designed to reduce upward light spill and glare from the BT9 range of 9W LED bulkheads. The eyelid shape shields the light source from view when approaching from above, directing output downward and forward while minimising skyglow and light pollution in residential and commercial outdoor installations.

The bezel fits all variants in the BT9 range including standard, sensor-equipped, emergency-backup and IK08-rated models. Installation is tool-free: the eyelid pushes onto the front rim of the bulkhead and friction-fits without screws or clips. This allows the bezel to be added or removed for cleaning or redecorating without rewiring the fitting.

At 260mm diameter and 69mm projection, the eyelid adds a modest hooded profile to the bulkhead without creating excessive wall projection. The black finish blends into wall-mounted bulkheads on dark facades and reduces visual contrast on lighter surfaces when the fitting is switched off during daylight.

Which bulkheads is this compatible with?

The BT9EB eyelid fits all Knightsbridge BT9 9W LED bulkheads including standard, sensor, emergency, and IK08 variants. Check the product listing or Specification tab of your bulkhead to confirm it is from the BT9 range.

How is it fitted?

The eyelid is push-fit. Align the bezel with the front rim of the bulkhead and press gently until it friction-fits into place. No tools, screws or clips are needed.

Can it be removed after fitting?

Yes. The eyelid can be pulled off the bulkhead rim for cleaning, redecorating or removal. It can be refitted by pushing it back into position.

Does it reduce light output?

The eyelid redirects light downward and forward by blocking upward spill. The total lumen output remains the same, but less light is emitted above the horizontal plane of the fitting, which is often required to meet dark-sky or planning conditions.
