Description

The Knightsbridge BL5 bricklight accessory kit is a black polycarbonate back box designed to convert BL5xx surface-mounted fittings into recessed bricklights. The kit includes the back box housing and mounting sleeve, allowing the fitting to be installed into a cavity wall or external brickwork rather than surface-mounted onto a wall face.

Designed for both new installations where recessed mounting is preferred and retrofit projects replacing existing bricklights, the kit requires a 197x70x56mm rectangular cut-out to accommodate the sleeve, with the back box itself occupying 190x63x25mm of that cavity depth. Once installed, the fitting projects 14mm from the wall surface with 56mm recessed behind the wall face. The kit is compatible with the BL5BK model and other BL5xx variants in the Knightsbridge range.

The polycarbonate construction provides impact resistance and weatherproofing suitable for outdoor installation, with the black finish matching the BL5BK fitting colour. The back box design allows cable entry from the rear of the cavity, simplifying wiring runs where surface conduit would otherwise be visible. The 1-year warranty covers manufacturing defects in the back box and sleeve components.
