Description
The Bisel Spiral Cluster Glass Chandelier is a modern gold chandelier made as a cluster of slim cylindrical shades, each hanging on its own textile cable from a round ceiling canopy. The shades step down one after another in a spiral, so the fitting reads as a single turning column of light rather than a flat ring of drops. Each shade pairs a gold iron sleeve with a clear glass lower section: the gold catches the light from above while the glass lets it fall softly downwards. The cable length runs from 1.5m to 3m, and that is what decides how far the spiral reaches below the ceiling. It takes G9 lamps, and the recommended lamp is a G9 LED.
Because the drop can run long, this is a chandelier for height: hung down a stairwell or over a staircase, the spiral fills the open space and lights each turn of the stairs as you climb. It works just as well in a double-height hallway or on a galleried landing, and over a dining table or in a living room with a generous ceiling, where the gold cluster gives the room a clear centre. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. We think it suits modern interiors best, especially where plain walls and simple furniture leave the spiral to do the talking.
The Bisel is made from iron, glass and textile cable, with a gold finish on the metal sleeves and canopy, and clear glass at the foot of each shade. It runs on 220-240V mains and, as a mains fitting, is for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 3 year guarantee. As a styling note, the gold looks warmest beside timber, brass and natural stone, and against a pale wall the spiral of shades stands out clearly from every angle.
