Bisel Cylinder Glass Pendant Light - Matt Terracotta

The Bisel is a cylinder pendant light in matt terracotta: a slim column of colour that gives way at its foot to clear ribbed glass. The terracotta shell is cut away at the front in a narrow, tapering slot, so the glass rises up into the colour in a single curving line. It takes one G9 lamp, and a G9 LED is the recommended lamp. We sell it in two sizes, Small and Medium. The Small has a shade 16cm tall and 6.4cm across, and the Medium has a shade 21cm tall and the same 6.4cm across. Both hang from an 8cm canopy on a 1.5m textile cable.

With its slender 6.4cm shade, the Bisel is a pendant to hang where you want a small, precise accent of colour and light. Hang one over a side table or beside a favourite reading chair, or set two or three in a line above a dining table, where the cylinders read as a neat, even run of terracotta. The Small, with its 16cm shade, suits a lower ceiling or a tighter corner. The Medium, with its longer 21cm shade, gives a bolder column for a hallway or a landing. Mixing the two sizes at staggered heights works well too. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only: living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and halls.

The Bisel is made of iron and glass on a textile cable. The matt terracotta finish is soft rather than shiny, which sets off the clear, bright ribbed glass beneath it, and the black cable gives a crisp line down from the ceiling. It runs on 220-240V mains, so it is a fitting for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 3 year guarantee. For styling, the warm, earthy colour sits well against white, grey or deep green walls and alongside oak, walnut or rattan.
