Description

The Birdie 2 Light LED Bollard Light is a slim garden light in Graphite Brown: two fine stems rise from one low base, each carrying a flat head, the lower at 62cm and the upper at 84cm. The light is integrated LED, so there is never a bulb to change, with a warm 2700K colour and a CRI of 90 that keeps planting, stone and timber looking true after dark. It comes in four versions: Small Heads, Straight & Curved Stems; Small Heads, 2 Curved Stems; Large Heads, 2 Straight Stems; and Large Heads, Straight & Curved Stems. Depending on the version, it draws 5.4W or 10.8W and gives 386lm or 960lm of light.

Rated IP65 and made for outdoor use, it belongs in the garden: beside a path, at the edge of a border, among grasses or next to a terrace or patio, where its two heads at different heights light the ground and planting around them. It suits anyone who wants to find their way along a path after dark or pick out a favourite shrub with warm light. It runs at 24V DC and needs a Birdie 24V power supply, sold separately, which converts the mains supply to the 24V DC the light uses. It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician through that 24V DC driver, and it has a 50cm cable.

It is made from aluminium, stainless steel, polycarbonate and polyamide and finished in Graphite Brown, a dark, warm shade that sits quietly among soil, bark and foliage. The design is by Jorge Herrera, and its fine stems and flat heads keep the bollard light slim enough to stand among planting. Every version gives the same warm 2700K light, so several bollards along one path, whatever their heads, share one tone.
