Description

The BIMU S150 Dep is a linear LED pendant light, a slim tube 150cm long, 2cm across and 3cm high, that hangs level from two fine cables on a drop of up to 230cm. We sell it in Black, Black & Orange or White. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 22.5W and gives 2518.5lm of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which means food, fabrics and paint colours look true rather than washed out.

Its length is made for a long dining table, where one line of light runs the whole stretch of places with no row of shades to break the view across the table. In a living room it suits a run of shelves, a long sideboard or the space above a deep sofa, giving a soft, warm line of light rather than a single bright spot. Because the tube is so slender, it keeps a room feeling open, with nothing bulky hanging at eye level. It is an indoor light rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The design is by Carrasquet, who pared it back to one thin tube of light and the cables that carry it. Black or White lets it sit quietly against a ceiling of the same tone, while Black & Orange adds a small note of colour. It is not dimmable, so it simply switches on and off at its full output. It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. Before you order, measure the table it will hang over: at 150cm long, it looks best with a little room to spare at each end.
