Description

The Bijou is a single-light LED pendant built from three stacked white opal glass shapes — a cylinder, sphere and faceted diamond — separated by polished silver metal spacers and suspended from a matching silver ceiling rose. The 493mm-tall glass arrangement houses an integrated 20W 3000K LED that casts diffused warm light through the opal glass in all directions.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and central living room positions where a vertical accent is needed without broad width, the Bijou's 198mm diameter keeps the visual footprint compact while the 493mm glass height draws the eye upward. The adjustable cord allows installation between 610mm minimum drop (suited to 2.4m ceilings) and 2364mm maximum drop (for double-height or gallery spaces). The geometric glass forms read as sculptural object when unlit and as glowing totem when switched on.

The opal white glass softens LED output without creating harsh edge shadows, giving a diffused ambient glow rather than focused downlight. The polished silver canopy and spacers provide reflective contrast against the matt opal surfaces, and the metal elements separate the three glass forms visually so each shape remains distinct rather than blending into a single mass. The combination of cylindrical, spherical and faceted diamond geometry gives the pendant a jewellery-like vertical rhythm suited to contemporary, mid-century and gallery-style interiors.

Is the Bijou dimmable?

The integrated 20W LED is rated at 3000K. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model used — please contact us before pairing with a dimmer switch to confirm compatibility with the LED driver.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 610mm works with standard 2.4m ceilings when hung over a dining table or kitchen island. For taller spaces, the cord extends to 2364mm maximum, making the pendant suitable for double-height entrance halls or gallery ceilings.

Can the cord length be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The cord is adjustable during installation and can be shortened by looping excess cable inside the ceiling rose. Once installed, further adjustment would require accessing the ceiling rose again.

How is the opal glass cleaned?

Wipe the glass shapes with a soft, dry microfibre cloth when the fitting is switched off and cool. For fingerprints or stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal spacers or allowing water near the ceiling rose.
