Description

The Benno is a 2-light bathroom wall light with two opal glass globes mounted on a champagne-finished metal bar. Each globe houses a G9 LED bulb (included), casting soft diffused light suitable for mirror lighting and general bathroom illumination. The fitting measures 373mm wide and projects 166mm from the wall, designed to sit above or alongside a vanity mirror.

Designed for use in bathroom zones 2 and 3, the Benno carries an IP44 rating for moisture resistance. The fitting can be mounted horizontally above a mirror or vertically on either side, depending on vanity width and mirror height. The champagne metal finish is a warm-toned brushed gold that sits between polished brass and antique brass, pairing well with warm-toned tiles, light oak cabinetry and brushed brass taps.

The opal glass globes are fully closed spheres that diffuse the light source completely, avoiding harsh shadows or glare points when positioned at eye level. The circular backplate measures approximately 120mm diameter and fixes to a standard UK electrical back box. The metal bar connecting the two globes includes subtle detailing at the centre mount point, giving the fitting a balanced symmetry whether installed horizontally or vertically.

Is the Benno suitable for use directly above a shower?

The IP44 rating allows use in bathroom zones 2 and 3, which covers vanity areas and general bathroom spaces. It is not rated for zone 0 or 1 (inside the shower enclosure or directly above a bath). For installation directly above a shower, a minimum IP65-rated fitting is needed.

Can the fitting be mounted vertically as well as horizontally?

Yes. The symmetrical design allows the Benno to be mounted either horizontally above a mirror or vertically on either side of a mirror, depending on vanity width and bathroom layout.

Are the G9 bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The fitting includes G9 LED bulbs rated at 3W each, but these can be replaced with any standard G9 bulb up to the maximum wattage shown in the specification table. Replacement G9 LEDs are available separately at Niori.

What colour temperature are the included bulbs?

Kichler typically supplies warm white LEDs in the 2700K-3000K range with their bathroom fittings, but the exact colour temperature is not specified in the product data. Contact us before ordering if a specific colour temperature is required.
