Description

The Benno is a single-light bathroom wall sconce built around a white opal glass globe mounted on a vertical matt black metal arm, fixed to a champagne bronze circular backplate. The G9 socket sits inside the opal globe and comes with a 3W LED bulb fitted as standard. The IP44 rating confirms protection against water splashes, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3.

Designed for installation beside mirrors, above vanities or as paired sconces flanking a mirror, the Benno provides diffused ambient light rather than direct task lighting. The 348mm height and 166mm projection from the wall suit bathrooms with 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights where a compact fitting is needed. The light can be installed with the globe facing upward or downward depending on the mirror height and preferred light direction.

The champagne bronze backplate provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with brass taps, brushed gold cabinet handles and warm-toned tiles, while the matt black arm introduces contrast without the reflectivity of polished chrome. The opal glass diffuses the 3W LED evenly, preventing glare when positioned at eye level. Is the Benno suitable for bathroom zones 1, 2 or 3?

The IP44 rating confirms protection against water splashes, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3. It is not rated for zone 1 (directly above baths or inside shower enclosures).

Does it come with a bulb?

Yes. A 3W G9 LED bulb is included and fitted as standard. Replacement G9 bulbs are widely available if needed in future.

Can the light be installed facing upward or downward?

Yes. The fitting can be installed with the globe facing either direction depending on the mirror height and preferred light distribution. The backplate mounting holes allow for both orientations.

What's the projection from the wall once installed?

The fitting projects 166mm from the wall surface to the outer edge of the globe. This allows it to sit alongside mirrors without the globe protruding into the mirror's sightline when viewed from typical standing or seated positions.
