Description
We stock the Basis as a 24W LED fitting for 48V track, with the light source built in so there is no bulb to buy. It puts out 1630 lumens of warm white light at 2700K, a colour close to old halogen and incandescent, through a wide 120 degree beam. The housing is matt black aluminium, and with a CRI of 90 it renders colours accurately across whatever sits below it.
The wide 120 degree spread makes this a good choice for even, general light rather than tight spotlighting, so we would point it at kitchen worktops and islands, retail displays, gallery walls and other commercial spaces. It locks onto a compatible 48V AC track and can be slid along the rail and repositioned whenever you rearrange the room. Please note the track rail and power supply are sold separately.
This is a mains-run fitting on a low-voltage 48V AC track, rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, and it is not dimmable. The 90 CRI and warm 2700K output suit product displays, artwork and food preparation, where honest colour matters, and the matt black finish keeps glare down and sits quietly against dark ceilings and track. Energy class is G.

Frequently Asked
Does it need a bulb?
No. The 24W LED is integrated into the fitting, giving 1630 lumens of warm white at 2700K, so there is nothing extra to buy on that front. You will need a compatible 48V track and power supply, which are sold separately.
Is it dimmable?
No, this fitting is not dimmable. It runs at a fixed brightness of 1630 lumens, so we would pair it with a separate switched circuit if you want to control which fittings are on.
Where does it work best?
The wide 120 degree beam gives even, general light rather than a focused spot, so it suits kitchen worktops and islands, retail displays and gallery walls. With a CRI of 90 it renders colours accurately for artwork, products and food preparation.
Can I use it in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.
