Description

We stock the Basis as a 13W LED track light in a matt black aluminium body for 48V track systems. Its integrated LED gives 560 lumens of warm white 3000K light through a wide 120 degree spread, so it works as general room light rather than a tight accent beam. With a CRI of 90 it keeps colours looking true, which matters where you want an accurate read on stock, artwork or food.

We would fit the Basis where you want even, low-glare light along a run of track, such as a kitchen, a gallery wall or a retail display. Spacing several heads along the rail gives you consistent coverage across a room, and the wide 120 degree beam softens shadows instead of picking out single objects. It carries an IP20 rating, so it is for dry indoor spaces only, away from moisture.

The Basis runs on 48V AC rather than mains voltage, so it needs a compatible 48V track and a suitable driver or transformer (sold separately) rather than wiring straight to the mains. It clips onto the rail as a low-profile bar that sits close to the ceiling. The LED is integrated and fixed at 3000K, and this version is not dimmable, so it holds a steady warm white level once it is switched on.

What track does the Basis fit?

It is built for 48V AC track systems, not standard mains-voltage track. You will need a compatible 48V rail and a suitable driver or transformer (sold separately) to power the run.

Is it dimmable?

No. This version runs at a fixed 3000K warm white and is not dimmable, so it stays at a steady brightness whenever it is switched on.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. The Basis carries an IP20 rating, so we would only fit it in dry indoor spaces away from moisture, such as a kitchen, living room, gallery or shop.

Is the bulb included?

Yes. The LED is integrated into the head giving 560 lumens of 3000K light, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace. You just add it to your 48V track and driver.
