Description

We stock the Basis as a linear LED track light in brushed brass for DC 24V track systems. Its rectangular aluminium body holds an integrated 12W LED that gives 400 lumens of warm white 2700K light through a wide 110 degree beam, so it washes an area evenly rather than picking out a single spot.

We reach for this one along shelving runs, counters, art walls and corridors, where the long profile throws light down its length. The wide 110 degree spread keeps shadows and hotspots down, so you can space several heads further apart on the rail and still get even coverage across retail, gallery and home settings. Each head clips onto compatible DC 24V track and sits anywhere along the run.

The CRI 90 rating renders colours faithfully, which helps where finishes, artwork or stock need to read true. The brushed brass housing doubles as a heatsink, so the LED cools passively with no fan and no noise. It carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor use only, so please keep it away from bathrooms, covered outdoor spots and anywhere it might meet moisture.

It runs on DC 24V magnetic track systems. The head clips onto compatible 24V rail and can be positioned anywhere along the run, so please check your track is DC 24V before ordering.

Is it dimmable?

No. This Basis head is not dimmable, so it runs at a fixed 400 lumen output. If you want to vary the level, we would look at a dimmable fitting or a dimmable driver on the track instead.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use, so it is not suitable for bathrooms, covered outdoor areas or anywhere exposed to moisture. It suits retail, galleries and dry rooms at home.

What colour and brightness is the light?
