Description

We stock the Basis as a 12W integrated LED track light in black, made for 48V AC track systems. Unlike the fixed 2700K and 3000K versions in the range, this one has an adjustable colour temperature, so you can set the tone of the light to suit the space rather than committing to a single warmth. The low-profile aluminium body keeps the fitting slim on the rail, and the head runs on AC 48V for safer low-voltage operation in shops and public rooms.

It suits retail displays, gallery walls, commercial corridors and architectural schemes where several heads share one track. The integrated LED throws a wide 120 degree beam, so a run of fittings can wash a wall or spread even light across a display area rather than picking out single points. Being dimmable, it pairs with a compatible 48V AC dimmer so you can drop the level for quieter times of day or lift it for busier ones.

The matt black aluminium housing helps draw heat away from the integrated LED and stays light enough to mount straight onto the track without extra support. The black finish sits neatly against black track rails for a continuous line along the ceiling. It carries an IP20 rating, so keep it to dry indoor locations, and it is rated Energy Class G. The track and any dimmer are sold separately.

Frequently Asked

Can I change the colour of the light?

Yes. This is the adjustable colour temperature version of the Basis, so you can shift it between warmer and cooler white to suit the room, rather than being fixed at 2700K or 3000K like the other options in the range.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The integrated 12W LED dims on a compatible 48V AC dimmer (sold separately), so you can set it from full brightness down to a softer level for different times of day or display needs.

What track does it fit?

It is built for 48V AC track systems and runs at low voltage for safer use in commercial and public spaces. The track rail and any connectors are sold separately, so please check your existing system is a 48V AC type before ordering.

Can I use it outdoors or in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is for dry indoor locations only. We would not recommend it for bathrooms, covered outdoor areas or anywhere exposed to moisture.
