Description

The Bakara star in antique silver: five points, 19cm across, with smoked mirrored glass set into a forged frame and a small ball finial at every tip. Silver reads colder than the brass version of the same star, and the smoked glass sits darker against it, so this one shows as outline and shadow rather than as a bright object.

On a tree lit warm white, silver holds against the lights instead of blending into them, where the brass warms into them. It seats over the leading shoot at the top of the tree rather than clipping on. At 19cm across it is sized for a full-height tree rather than a tabletop one.

The frame is forged metal and the panels are glass. The glass is inlaid into the frame rather than fixed behind it, so each panel sits flush with the metal around it. Bakara also runs in antique brass.
