The Bahia is a single-light wall mount with a satin nickel cuboid backplate and a forward-projecting E27 lampholder, sold without a shade. The backplate measures 85mm high by 40mm wide, with the lampholder extending 140mm from the wall surface on a rectangular arm. The fitting is designed to be paired with a separate shade or used bare with a decorative bulb.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms and hallways where wall-mounted task or ambient lighting is needed without the bulk of a table lamp, the Bahia suits bedsides, alcoves and corridor runs where a compact footprint is important. The single E27 socket accepts standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to the rating shown in the Specification table (sold separately). When paired with a dimmable bulb and compatible trailing-edge dimmer, the light level can be adjusted from full brightness down to a low glow.

The satin nickel finish provides a low-sheen metallic surface that sits between polished chrome and brushed nickel in reflectivity, making it compatible with both warm and cool-toned interiors. The cuboid backplate and arm give the fitting a geometric profile that pairs well with modern and contemporary schemes. At 0.36kg the fitting is light enough to be mounted onto most plasterboard walls using appropriate fixings, though heavier shades may require additional support depending on their weight.

Does the Bahia come with a shade?

No. This fitting is sold without a shade and is designed to be paired with a separate E27-compatible shade or used with a decorative bulb that does not require a shade. The E27 lampholder accommodates most standard screw-fit shades available separately.

What bulb does it take?

The Bahia takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. The maximum wattage depends on the bulb type chosen — LED bulbs typically operate between 6-12W, while halogen or filament bulbs may be rated higher. Check the bulb packaging to ensure it does not exceed the fitting's rating.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming, but both the bulb and the dimmer must be rated for compatibility. Not all LED bulbs dim smoothly, so choose bulbs marked as dimmable.

What projection is needed for clearance?

The fitting projects 140mm from the wall at the lampholder. When a shade is added, total projection increases depending on the shade depth. In narrow hallways or tight bedside spaces, measure the available clearance before fitting to ensure doors, headboards or furniture do not obstruct the shade.
