The clock weighs 5kg, so it requires a secure fixing into masonry using wall plugs and screws, or into a timber stud with wood screws. A standard picture hook or adhesive strip will not hold this weight safely.

The gold leaf is hand-applied to the mirror sections during manufacture, so each clock shows slight variations in the leaf pattern. It is not a printed or painted finish.

Does the clock require batteries?

Yes. The mechanism runs on a single AA battery (not included). The battery compartment is accessed from the back of the clock once it is removed from the wall.

Can the mirrored frame be cleaned?

Yes. Wipe the mirror sections gently with a standard glass cleaner and a soft microfibre cloth. Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the gold leaf sections — use a barely-damp cloth on those areas to prevent the leaf from lifting.
