Description

The Asure is a 150cm LED linear suspension from Schuller with a single continuous wave-form body in matt black metal and aluminium, housing an integrated 26W LED strip behind an opal silicone diffuser. The wave rises and falls across the 1.5m span, creating a sculptural profile that reads as kinetic from certain angles and as a clean horizontal line from others.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and reception counters where horizontal light distribution is needed across 1.2-1.8m of surface area, the Asure hangs on adjustable cables allowing suspension heights from 60cm to 150cm. The opal diffuser softens the LED output to reduce glare while maintaining even illumination along the length of the fitting. The 3000K colour temperature produces warm white light suitable for food preparation, dining and general task work.

The matt black finish is finely sanded to a low-sheen surface that minimises reflections and fingerprints. At 1.68kg the fitting is light enough for standard ceiling fixing without additional support, and the Class 1 wiring uses a standard UK flex and ceiling rose connection. The integrated driver is housed inside the wave body so no external transformer box is visible once installed. The IP20 rating limits the Asure to dry indoor environments only.

Is the Asure dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the integrated driver specification. The product datasheet (see Downloads tab) should confirm whether a trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer is supported. Contact us before pairing with a dimmer to verify compatibility.

What length island or table does this suit?

The 150cm body provides even light distribution across islands or dining tables between 120cm and 180cm in length. For longer surfaces, two Asure fittings can be positioned in series, or consider Schuller's longer linear models.

How is the suspension height adjusted?

The fitting hangs on adjustable cables that can be shortened during installation to set the suspension height anywhere between 60cm and 150cm from the ceiling rose to the top of the wave body. Most installations position the fitting 70-80cm above an island worktop.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the Asure to dry indoor environments only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms, or any space where moisture or steam is present.
