Aster 8 Light Chandelier - Gold

The Aster is an 8-light chandelier built around two tiers of stamped glass discs attached to a gold-finished metal frame. Each disc is pressed with a radial sunburst pattern that catches and refracts light when the chandelier is lit, creating layered reflections across both the clear and amber-toned glass pieces. The eight E14 bulb positions sit within and behind the glass discs, directing light both outward through the glass and upward into the ceiling space.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Aster works as a central feature fitting where the combination of decorative and ambient light is needed. The 62.6cm diameter suits rooms between 14-20m² where a larger chandelier is required to balance the ceiling height and floor area. The chain-suspended fitting allows the drop to be adjusted between 49.2cm and 109.2cm during installation, giving flexibility to set the chandelier 70-90cm above a dining table or higher in a double-height entrance hall.

The metal frame carries a warm gold finish that complements brass door furniture, gold-toned mirrors and warm metallic accessories. The combination of clear and amber glass adds tonal variation to the light output compared to single-colour glass chandeliers, with the amber pieces casting warmer light pools and the clear discs providing brighter, cooler accents. The stamped sunburst pattern on each disc varies slightly depending on how the glass was pressed, so individual Aster chandeliers show different light patterns when the bulbs are lit.

What bulbs does the Aster take?

The chandelier takes eight E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each rated up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use LED candle or golf ball bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to complement the amber glass tones.

Is the drop adjustable?

Yes. The chain suspension allows the chandelier height to be set between 49.2cm and 109.2cm during installation. The chain can be shortened by removing links before the fitting is wired into the ceiling rose.

What ceiling height is needed?

The Aster suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. For dining tables, the chandelier typically sits 70-90cm above the table surface, which requires a minimum ceiling height of around 2.7m when set to the shortest drop of 49.2cm.

Can the glass discs be cleaned?

Yes. Switch off at the mains and allow bulbs to cool fully. Remove dust with a dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water on the glass only, avoiding the metal fittings and electrical components.
