Description

The Aruba is a 9.5cm diameter cylindrical pendant light finished in matt white, housing a single E27 bulb fitting inside a downward-facing tube. The shade and ceiling rose share the same matt white finish, connected by a white fabric-covered cable that adjusts from 400mm to 1500mm on installation.

Designed for use in multiples rather than as a single pendant, the Aruba suits linear runs above kitchen counters, dining tables and breakfast bars, or clustered groups over wider island surfaces. The 9.5cm diameter keeps each unit unobtrusive, while the 1500mm maximum drop allows the pendants to be set 600-800mm above the worktop in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. The compact size also works in smaller rooms where a larger pendant would dominate the space.

The matt white finish diffuses light evenly downward through the open base of the cylinder, creating a wash of illumination on the surface below while the matte surface reduces glare from the bulb when viewed at eye level. The E27 socket accepts any standard Edison screw LED, halogen or filament bulb up to the fitting's rated wattage, giving control over brightness and colour temperature to suit the room.

What bulb does it take?

The Aruba takes a standard E27 Edison screw bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-10W LED in 2700K-3000K for warm white light over kitchen and dining surfaces.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit a dimmable E27 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming but the bulb and dimmer must both be rated for dimming.

How many pendants are needed over a kitchen island?

For a typical 1.5-2m island, three Aruba pendants spaced 500-600mm apart provide even coverage. Wider islands may need four or five pendants in a linear run.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is set during installation by adjusting the cable length through the ceiling rose. Once fixed, it cannot be changed without removing the ceiling rose and re-feeding the cable.
