Arna Large Wire Wall Art - Rust

The Arna Large is a disc of wall art sculpted from iron wire, 118cm across and half a centimetre deep. The wire runs out from a tight coiled centre in lines that cross one another into a web of triangles and diamonds, opening up as they travel outward, and the rim finishes in a ring of sharp points. It hangs flat against the wall. The iron carries a rust patina and reads dark against a pale wall.

At 118cm across this fills a wall on its own rather than hanging in a group, and beside the 72cm Arna the two read as one piece at two sizes. It is suitable for outdoor use, so it goes on a garden wall or a fence as readily as indoors. The wire can be pushed and bent by hand once it arrives, so the depth of the web and the set of the points are yours to alter.

The piece is iron throughout. The wire is joined and sculpted by hand with traditional tools, by a family business with a long heritage of working in wire, so the spacing of the web and the length of the points vary from one piece to the next. Arna is also made at 72cm.
