The Aries is a 136x36cm oval wall mirror with a satin black MDF frame and bevelled mirror glass. The elongated oval profile measures 136cm tall by 36cm wide with a 4cm projection from the wall, creating a vertical accent rather than a wide horizontal feature. The black frame is finished in a low-sheen satin that reduces reflections under direct light.

Designed for corridors, hallways, reading nooks and beside wardrobes where a full-length mirror is needed without the width of a conventional rectangular design, the Aries can be hung vertically or horizontally depending on wall space and ceiling height. The bevelled edge on the mirror glass creates a subtle angled transition between the glass surface and the frame, adding depth to the reflection. At 8.6kg the mirror requires secure wall fixings into solid wall or into studs if hung on plasterboard.

The satin black finish on the MDF frame pairs with both light and dark wall colours, providing contrast against white, grey and pale neutral walls while blending into darker schemes. The 36cm width keeps the mirror narrow enough for tight corridor spaces or alongside furniture without dominating the wall. The slim 4cm depth means the mirror sits close to the wall rather than projecting far into the room.

Can the mirror be hung horizontally?

Yes. The Aries can be installed either vertically or horizontally depending on the space and the fixing points on the reverse. Check the rear of the mirror on delivery for the hanging bracket orientation.

What wall fixings are needed?

At 8.6kg the mirror requires secure fixings. On solid brick or concrete walls use appropriate wall plugs and screws rated for the weight. On plasterboard, locate studs and fix directly into them or use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated for at least 10kg.

What is a bevelled mirror edge?

A bevelled edge is an angled cut around the perimeter of the glass, creating a subtle slope from the mirror surface down to the frame. This adds visual depth and a small prismatic effect where the bevel catches light.

How is the satin black finish cleaned?

Wipe the MDF frame with a dry or barely-damp microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays and polishes on the satin finish as they can leave streaks. Clean the mirror glass with standard glass cleaner applied to a cloth, not sprayed directly onto the glass near the frame.
