Description

The Arid Wall Light Tile is a flat aluminium panel made to sit on the wall around an Arid wall light, so a single fitting becomes part of a larger textured surface. Its face is finished in Textured Olive Grey, a soft, muted green grey worked into fine parallel fluting, so every rib holds its own line of shadow. Each tile is 20cm wide and 30cm tall, and it comes in four positions: Central, Right, Left and Neutral. Picking the position for each tile lets you plan exactly how the tiles meet the light and each other.

The tile gives no light of its own. It needs an Arid wall light to fit, sold separately, which provides the light while the tiles frame it and carry its texture out across the wall. We think the pairing suits a living room, hallway, landing, bedroom or dining room, where a plain wall can take on texture and a gentle wash of light without a crowd of fittings. The quiet colour sits easily beside timber, linen and stone, and it looks as much at home in a calm modern scheme as in an older house with plastered walls.

Each tile is made from aluminium, which keeps its ribbed profile and clean edges crisp, and the Textured Olive Grey finish gives the surface a fine, tactile grain that rewards a closer look. Designed by Nahtrang Studio, the Arid tiles pair fluted surfaces with the rounded forms of the light, so tile and fitting read as one piece.
