Description

The Arid A/01 is a round LED wall light in aluminium, finished in Textured White. Its face is a flat disc 14cm across, cut with fine vertical flutes, and it sits on a short stem so it stands 9.1cm out from the wall. The light comes from an 8.4W integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and it spills back onto the wall around the disc as a soft halo rather than shining straight into the room. It comes in two colour temperature versions, 2200-2700K and 3000-4000K, giving 586lm or 882lm depending on the version, and a CRI of 90 keeps skin tones and fabrics looking true.

Because the glow washes the wall rather than the room, this wall light suits a bedroom, a living room or a dining room, wherever you want gentle light at eye level: a pair either side of a bed, one each side of a sideboard, or a row along a long wall. It is dimmable with a compatible TRIAC dimmer, so you can take it right down for a quiet evening. The 2200-2700K version gives a warm, low glow; the 3000-4000K version gives a cleaner, whiter light. It is rated IP44 and suitable for outdoor use, so it works just as well beside a front door or along a garden wall.

The design is by Nahtrang Studio, and the whole fitting, disc and stem, is made in aluminium with a Textured White finish that gives the flutes a soft, even surface. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician, and as a Class II fitting it is double insulated. Settle on the colour temperature you want before you order, since that choice is fixed by the version you buy.
