Description

The Arid A/01 is a round aluminium LED wall light in Textured Graphite Brown, a dark brown with a textured matt surface. Its face is a disc 14cm across, finely fluted from edge to edge, held off the wall on a short stem so it stands out 9.1cm. The light is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It shines back onto the wall behind the disc, drawing a soft ring of light around its edge while the fluted face stays in shadow. It draws 8.4W and gives 586lm or 882lm by version, with a CRI of 90, so colours and skin tones look true. It comes in two colour temperatures, 2200-2700K or 3000-4000K: a very warm glow or a fresher, cooler white.

We see it most at home in a living room, dining room or bedroom, where a soft wash on the wall does more for the mood than a bright overhead light. Fit one beside a bed in place of a bedside lamp, or set two or three across a wall at different heights so their rings of light make a pattern of their own. Because it is rated IP44, it also suits outdoor use: on a wall by the front door, in a porch or beside a patio, where it lights the way without glare.

The body is aluminium, with the Textured Graphite Brown finish carried over the whole fitting, stem included. It is Class II and runs at 230V. It is TRIAC dimmable, so pair it with a compatible dimmer when you want the light lower in the evening. The design is by Nahtrang Studio. It is wired in to the mains, so have a qualified electrician fit it, and settle on the colour temperature you want before you order.
