Description

The Arid A/01 is a round LED wall light in Textured Black aluminium: a 14cm disc with a finely fluted face, set on a short stem that holds it 9.1cm from the wall. When it is on, light spills from behind the disc and spreads a soft halo across the wall around it, so the fitting reads as a dark circle framed in light. The integrated LED draws 8.4W and needs no bulb, and with a CRI of 90 it keeps skin tones, timber and fabrics looking true. We offer it in two colour temperature versions, 2200-2700K and 3000-4000K, giving 586lm or 882lm depending on the version.

It is dimmable with a compatible dimmer, so it settles easily into a living room or dining room as low, gentle background light, and a pair either side of a bed frees the bedside tables. The 2200-2700K version gives the warmer, candlelit glow many people like for evenings, while the 3000-4000K version is cooler and crisper. Several fitted together in a loose group or a line make a quiet feature of a plain wall. Rated IP44, it also suits outdoor use, so it can go on a wall beside a front door or along a garden wall to light the way in.

The body is aluminium, finished in Textured Black, and the fine vertical fluting across the face gives the disc a tactile, shadowed surface that looks good switched off as well as on. The Arid design is by Nahtrang Studio. On the practical side, it runs on 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician, and if you want to dim it, it needs a compatible TRIAC dimmer on the circuit.
