Ariadna 9 Light Crystal Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Champagne Chrome

The Ariadna is a 9-light semi-flush ceiling light built around nine curved metal arms radiating from a central polished chrome canopy, each arm fitted with a curved champagne-toned crystal bar. Each of the nine G9 bulb positions sits behind one of these crystal bars, so light refracts through the crystal and reflects off the chrome arms to create a multidirectional glow across the 53cm diameter spread.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.7m where a full drop chandelier would sit too low, the Ariadna's 26cm projection from ceiling to lowest point keeps the fitting close to the ceiling plane while still providing the decorative presence of crystal and chrome. The semi-flush format suits dining rooms, entrance halls, bedrooms and living rooms where a statement ceiling light is needed without encroaching into head clearance. The fixture is supplied with gravity toggles for secure installation into plasterboard ceilings.

The champagne crystal bars are curved to follow the arc of each chrome arm, creating a continuous sculptural line from the centre canopy to the outer edge of the fitting. The polished chrome finish on the metal frame pairs the warm champagne tone of the crystal with a reflective neutral base, making the Ariadna compatible with both warm-toned traditional interiors and cooler contemporary schemes. At 4.5kg the fitting has enough presence to anchor a room visually without requiring reinforced ceiling fixings beyond standard plasterboard toggle capability.

The fitting accepts nine G9 bulbs up to 10W each (sold separately). Most installations pair this with 6W warm-white LED G9 capsules at 2700K-3000K to balance light output with energy efficiency. The IP20 rating limits the Ariadna to dry indoor environments only.

What ceiling height is needed for the Ariadna?

The fitting projects 26cm from the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.7m. In lower-ceilinged rooms the semi-flush format avoids head clearance issues while still providing decorative impact.

What bulbs does it take?

The Ariadna takes nine G9 capsule bulbs, each rated up to 10W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 6W warm-white LED G9 bulbs at 2700K-3000K colour temperature.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is only suitable for dry indoor environments. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher rated fittings in zones near water sources.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool before cleaning. Wipe the champagne crystal bars with a soft dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystal or allowing water to reach the electrical components in the chrome canopy.
