Argos 6 Light Flush Ceiling Light - Smoked Brown Mirrored Glass

The Argos is a 40cm flush ceiling light with a smoked brown mirrored glass dome enclosing cascading crystal drops suspended from a polished chrome mounting plate. Five G9 LED bulbs (included) sit inside the dome behind the crystal cascade, casting light through both the reflective brown glass and the cut crystal facets to create overlapping refractions across the ceiling surface.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.7m where a pendant would hang too low, the Argos fits bedrooms, hallways, dressing rooms and en-suites where decorative lighting is wanted but ceiling clearance is limited. The 23cm projection from the ceiling allows the fitting to be installed in spaces with minimal headroom without dominating the visual field. The brown-tinted mirrored glass softens the light output and adds warmth to neutral and earth-toned interiors.

The crystal drops inside the dome are individually hung on fine wire, moving slightly with air currents and creating subtle shifts in light pattern when the room is occupied. The smoked brown finish on the outer glass gives the fitting a bronze-toned appearance under daylight that shifts to a warmer amber glow when the bulbs are lit. At 4.5kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixing, and gravity toggles are included in the box for plasterboard ceilings.

Does this fitting include bulbs?

Yes. Five G9 LED 6W bulbs are included in the box. The fitting can accommodate G9 bulbs up to 10W if you wish to increase brightness later.

What ceiling height is this suitable for?

The 23cm projection makes this suitable for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.7m. In lower-ceilinged rooms it provides ambient light without protruding too far into the space.

Can it be fitted to a plasterboard ceiling?

Yes. Gravity toggles are included in the box to allow secure fixing to hollow plasterboard ceilings. The 4.5kg weight requires proper cavity fixing rather than standard plasterboard screws.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific G9 LED bulbs fitted. The included bulbs should be checked for dimming capability on the bulb packaging. If you replace the bulbs, choose dimmable-rated G9 LEDs and pair with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer.
