Description

The Argos is a 22cm diameter pendant light combining a chrome-plated dome of mirrored glass with cascading crystal droplets suspended inside the shade. A single G9 bulb (sold separately) sits at the centre, casting light through the crystals which then refract outward and upward, creating scattered reflections across the mirrored interior before diffusing into the room. The chrome outer surface reflects surrounding furnishings and daylight, giving the pendant a liquid-metal appearance when unlit.

Designed for installation over dining tables, kitchen islands, bedside positions and hallway drop zones, the Argos works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m and above. The adjustable cable allows the pendant to hang anywhere from 50cm to 140cm below the ceiling rose, positioning it 65-75cm above a dining surface or 80-100cm above a kitchen worktop depending on ceiling height. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor spaces only.

The combination of mirrored glass and cut crystal gives the pendant a multi-layered visual depth — the outer dome acts as a reflective shell during the day, while at night the lit crystals inside create a jewel-box effect visible through the transparent lower opening. The 1.37kg weight sits comfortably on standard UK ceiling roses without additional bracing. The chrome finish pairs with both warm brass and brushed nickel fixtures in the same room, bridging traditional crystal lighting with contemporary metallic interiors.

What bulb does the Argos take?

The pendant takes a single G9 capsule bulb up to 10W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED G9 at 2700K-3000K to complement the warm reflections from the chrome and crystal.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The cable is adjustable between 50cm and 140cm below the ceiling rose, allowing the pendant to be set at the correct height above a dining table, worktop or other surface during installation.

Is the Argos suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits the pendant to dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, kitchens within splash zones, or outdoors.

How is the mirrored glass cleaned?

Wipe the chrome and mirrored glass with a dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or smudges, a glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth (not directly onto the pendant) works well. The crystal droplets inside can be dusted with a soft brush or cloth when the bulb is removed and the fitting is switched off.
