Description

The Arcena is a 70cm diameter circular LED pendant light with a matt black metal ring housing an integrated 3000K LED strip around the inner circumference. The LED sits behind a frosted acrylic diffuser that runs the full perimeter of the ring, casting warm white light both downwards and upwards to create ambient illumination and a visual halo effect on the ceiling plane above.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands, reception desks and commercial spaces where clean geometric lighting is needed, the Arcena suspends on three fine steel cables from a circular ceiling rose. The 45mm ring depth gives the fitting a low-profile presence when viewed from the side, while the 70cm diameter provides sufficient scale for tables or workspaces up to 1.8m wide. The ring structure allows clear sightlines through the centre, avoiding the visual obstruction of traditional bowl or drum pendants.

The matt black finish absorbs ambient light and reads as a dark frame around the bright LED perimeter, creating high contrast in both daylight and evening use. The 3000K colour temperature produces warm white light comparable to halogen, making it suitable for hospitality and residential dining environments where warmer tones are preferred over clinical daylight whites. The integrated LED is rated for 30,000 hours of use and carries IP20 ingress protection for dry indoor environments only.

The suspension cables are adjustable on installation. For a dining table the light typically sits 700-900mm above the surface, which suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The exact drop can be set during fitting to suit the room.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating indicates protection against solid objects larger than 12.5mm but no moisture protection. The Arcena is rated for dry indoor environments only and must not be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor covered areas.

What size table does it suit?

The 70cm diameter works well over dining tables or kitchen islands between 1.2m and 1.8m wide. For larger tables or dual-zone islands, consider pairing two Arcena fittings in parallel or selecting a larger diameter variant if available in the Ideal Lux range.
