Description

The Arcena is a 50cm square LED suspension light built from a continuous aluminium frame with integrated LED strips running the full perimeter. The matt white finish on the 25mm-deep frame conceals the LED channel while directing 3000K warm white light downwards and outwards. The single square profile is suspended on four fine cables adjustable up to 2500mm drop.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and office desks where geometric overhead lighting suits the space, the Arcena provides diffuse ambient light rather than focused task light. The 50cm dimension works over tables 120-180cm long or in open-plan areas where multiple squares can be grouped to cover a larger zone. The four-point suspension keeps the frame level and stable without swinging.

The integrated LED is non-dimmable and fixed at 3000K, giving warm white light comparable to halogen or incandescent sources. The IP20 rating limits the Arcena to dry indoor locations — living rooms, dining rooms, hallways and offices, not bathrooms or outdoor covered areas. The continuous LED strip gives even illumination around all four sides of the square, avoiding the hot-spot effect of discrete bulb positions.

Ideal Lux manufactures the Arcena in Italy. The aluminium frame is powder-coated in matt white for a clean finish that resists yellowing under UV exposure. The 5-year warranty covers the LED module and driver — no bulb replacement is needed during the product lifespan.

Is the Arcena dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver is not compatible with dimmer switches. The light operates at fixed output on standard 230V mains switching only.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 2500mm maximum cable drop allows the square to be suspended 600-800mm above a dining table or desk surface in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. The cables can be shortened during installation for lower ceilings.

Can multiple Arcena squares be used together?

Yes. The Arcena can be installed in multiples over longer tables or in grid arrangements over open-plan spaces. Each square requires its own ceiling fixing point and power connection — they do not daisy-chain.

Where can it be installed?

The IP20 rating limits the Arcena to dry indoor locations only. Suitable for living rooms, dining rooms, hallways, bedrooms and offices. Not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens directly above hobs, or outdoor covered areas.
