Description

The Arcena is a 500mm diameter LED ring pendant light built from a matt black aluminium hoop with an integrated LED strip running along its inner face. The 3000K warm white LED is non-dimmable and provides ambient downward light through a diffused opal acrylic lens, casting a soft circular wash onto the surface below.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Arcena's 25mm profile sits low enough to avoid dominating the visual line while still providing useful task and ambient light. The 2500mm cable is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set 600-900mm above a worktop or 700-800mm above a dining table depending on room height. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations.

The matt black finish on the aluminium frame absorbs light rather than reflecting it, keeping attention on the illuminated ring rather than the fixture housing. At 500mm diameter the Arcena suits tables and islands 1200-1800mm long without overpowering smaller dining settings or appearing undersized over larger surfaces. The ring geometry provides even light distribution across a circular footprint rather than the concentrated beam typical of downlights.

Is the Arcena dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable. If dimming is required, alternative models in the Ideal Lux range offer dimmable variants, contact us for recommendations.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 2500mm cable is adjustable on installation. For a dining table or kitchen island the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the Arcena if the cable is shortened during fitting.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations away from water zones. Bathrooms require a minimum IP44 rating for zones 2 and 3.

What size table does it suit?

The 500mm diameter suits tables or islands 1200-1800mm long. Smaller tables may find the pendant disproportionately large, while tables over 2000mm may benefit from two Arcena pendants spaced along the length rather than a single central fitting.
