Description

The Aperta Multiway Video Door Station is a surface-mount entry panel designed for multi-occupancy buildings, combining a colour camera, integrated keypad and weatherproof IP55-rated metal housing. The station supports up to 32 individual apartments (addresses 1-32), allowing residents to be called via keypad entry and the door to be unlocked either by code or by releasing the lock from an indoor handset.

Designed for installation at communal entrance points in apartment blocks, housing developments and gated residential sites, the station operates on 24V DC and uses a simple 2-core cable run to connect to compatible Aperta indoor monitors. The integrated camera provides a live colour video feed to the indoor handset when a call is placed, giving visual verification before granting access. The IP55 rating protects against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making the station suitable for exposed outdoor positions.

The brushed metal faceplate measures 210mm high by 90mm wide with a 60mm projection from the wall once surface-mounted. The numeric keypad sits below a perforated speaker grille, with the camera lens and infrared LEDs positioned at the top of the panel for face-height coverage when a visitor stands at typical door approach distance. The station weighs 550g net (720g packaged), giving it sufficient mass to resist casual tampering without requiring heavy-duty backing.

Frequently Asked

How many apartments can this station serve?

The Aperta Multiway supports up to 32 individual apartments, each assigned a unique address number from 1 to 32. Visitors use the keypad to dial the apartment number, which triggers a call to the corresponding indoor monitor.

What cable is required for installation?

The station uses a 2-core cable to connect to compatible Aperta indoor monitors. The system operates on 24V DC, with power typically supplied from a central control unit or transformer. See the manual in the Downloads tab for full wiring diagrams.

Can the door be unlocked remotely?

Yes. When a visitor calls an apartment via the keypad, the resident can release the door lock from their indoor handset after verifying the visitor on the live video feed. The station also supports code-based unlocking if configured during installation.

Is this suitable for outdoor installation?

Yes. The IP55 rating protects against dust and water jets from any direction, making the station suitable for exposed outdoor positions including covered porches, open entryways and wall-mounted positions without overhead shelter.
