Description

This pack contains five replacement DPDT keys for the ESP Aperta EVEBGEXT2 emergency exit callpoint. Each key is moulded in black impact-resistant plastic with an octagonal head and cylindrical shaft designed to engage the DPDT (double-pole double-throw) switch mechanism inside the callpoint housing.

The keys are used by authorised personnel to override or test the emergency exit callpoint without activating the full alarm sequence. When the key is inserted and turned, it mechanically operates the DPDT switch, allowing the door release or alarm circuit to be tested or bypassed during maintenance. The keys are designed for fire safety and building management applications where emergency exit points require periodic testing or authorised override without breaking the glass panel.

Each key measures approximately 35mm in length with a 15mm octagonal head that provides grip for turning in gloved hands or under emergency conditions. The black plastic construction resists UV degradation and remains functional in both indoor and covered outdoor environments. Supplied as a pack of five to allow for spares across multiple sites or to replace lost keys without needing to re-key the callpoint units.

Frequently Asked

What callpoint model are these keys for?

These keys are designed specifically for the ESP Aperta EVEBGEXT2 emergency exit callpoint. They will not fit other callpoint models or brands.

Can the keys be used to bypass the alarm permanently?

No. The keys provide temporary override or testing access. They operate the DPDT switch mechanically but do not disable the callpoint's primary glass-break alarm function. Once the key is removed, the callpoint returns to normal operation.

How many keys come in the pack?

The pack contains five replacement keys. This allows for spares across multiple callpoint units or replacement of lost keys without re-keying the entire system.

Are the keys suitable for outdoor use?

The black plastic construction resists UV degradation and functions in covered outdoor environments. For fully exposed outdoor callpoints, check the EVEBGEXT2 callpoint specification for IP rating and environmental suitability.
