Description

The Anvil Spot CR Double 60° is a twin spotlight that sits recessed into the ceiling, with two slim cylindrical heads hanging from a long, narrow plate. Each head is 5.6cm tall and 3.2cm across, and you can angle the two independently, so one can wash a wall while the other picks out a table. Light comes from an integrated LED of 9W, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives a warm white 3000K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps food, wood and fabric looking true to their colour. We sell it in black or white.

The kitchen is where this spotlight earns its place. Two heads from one ceiling opening means you can light an island and the cupboards behind it from a single fitting, or aim both down on to a dining table. Because the heads are small and the whole fitting is only 11.2cm wide, it sits quietly in a ceiling without crowding it. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only and should stay clear of anywhere it could be splashed. It is not dimmable, so it belongs on a plain switched circuit rather than one with a dimmer.

The design is by David Abad. The body is 10.7cm wide and 8cm tall, and it fits a slot cut-out of 10.7cm by 2.7cm in the ceiling. It runs on 230V mains and is a Protection Class I fitting, which means it is earthed. It is wired in to the mains, and that is a job for a qualified electrician. One practical point before you order: it needs 5cm of depth behind the ceiling, so check that space is free where you want it, then choose black or white to match your ceiling or to contrast with it.
