Description

A rail of four hooks on a flat mango wood board, 52cm long and 13.5cm high. Each hook is a slim loop of iron rising from a small square plate screwed to the board, and a second, smaller hook curls down from underneath the same plate, so every position gives two places to hang from. The iron carries an antique brass finish against the pale natural tone of the wood.

The rail runs 52cm along the wall and stands 8cm out from it, which is enough for a coat on a hanger to clear the plaster. The four upper loops take coats, bags and towels, and the smaller hooks below them take keys and lighter things that would be lost on a full loop. That suits a hallway or a cloakroom, and equally a bathroom or a bedroom. It is for indoor use.

The board is solid mango wood and the hooks are iron, hand forged and welded to their plates. It is an artisan process from start to finish with no industrial machinery involved, so the shape of each loop varies slightly along the rail. The Ankita hooks are also made in a larger size.
