Description

A rail of eight hooks on a flat mango wood board, 104.5cm long. Each hook is a single length of iron bent into a tall loop above and a short one below, so there are two places to hang from at every position, and each is screwed to the board through a small rectangular plate. The iron carries an antique brass finish and the board is left plain, with rounded ends and nothing cut into it.

At 104.5cm this is the longer of the two and it wants most of a hallway wall. Eight double hooks take coats, bags and scarves at once, with room still spare. It stands 8cm off the wall, which is enough for a heavy coat to hang without pressing against the plaster, and the whole fitting is 13.5cm from top to bottom.

The board is solid mango wood, carved by hand, and the hooks are forged iron, welded on and finished in antique brass. Both are worked without machinery, and the bend of each hook varies a little from the next. The Ankita hooks are made in two lengths, and they are for indoor use.
