Description

A cast iron hook made to fix to a ceiling. A round flat plate sits at the top, drilled for three screws, and a short stem drops from it into a J that curves back up on itself. The hook hangs 7cm below the plate, which is 4cm across. The iron reads close to black, and the surface carries the slight unevenness of a hand casting.

This is the ceiling version of the Aniko hook rather than the wall one, and it is made to hang things from above: a planter, a basket, a rail or a bunch of dried flowers. The hook is small, 7cm from the plate to the tip, so it sits up close under a ceiling rather than dropping into the room. Two come in the set, so a rail or a drying rack can be hung level between a pair of them, and a single one on its own will take a planter over a table or a sink.

The hook is iron, cast by hand. The Aniko range holds this ceiling hook and a plain hook, both in iron and both in sets of two, and the same pair again in brass. It also runs to wall-mounted rails carrying three hooks and six.
