Anbu Acacia Bedside Table - Washed Walnut

A two drawer bedside table in solid acacia, 57cm tall and 42cm square on the top. The carcase is panelled on every face and the corner posts are softened into a shallow curve where they meet the top, so the box reads rounded rather than sharp edged. It stands on four round legs that taper towards the floor. The wood is finished in a washed walnut, a deep brown that lets the grain and the darker figure of the acacia come through rather than covering them.

At 57cm tall and 42cm square this stands higher than a low bedside table, and the footprint is small enough for the gap between a bed and a wall. Each of the two drawers measures 28cm wide, 31cm deep and 10cm high inside. The legs lift the carcase clear of the floor, so a rug can run under it.

The wood is solid acacia throughout, carved and assembled by hand. The walnut tone is a finish laid over the acacia rather than the colour of the wood itself, so the grain reads darker in some boards than others and no two tables come out the same. How do I look after it?

Wipe the surfaces with a soft dry cloth, along the grain, to lift dust and moisture. Mild soap and water can be used sparingly. Use coasters and mats, blot spills immediately, keep it out of strong direct sunlight, and avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive materials.
