Description
A modular outdoor sofa in acacia, 320cm across and 80cm deep with the pieces set in a run. Each module is a slatted frame: square legs, a seat deck of spaced slats and an open slatted back, with the timber left in its own pale honey tone. The seat and back cushions are deep and loosely filled, covered in a water repellent jute and cotton blend in a plain oatmeal. The set is made up of one corner piece and three extension pieces.
The pieces are not fixed to one another, so they go in a straight run along a wall, turn a corner round a terrace, or split into separate seats at either end of a table. At 320cm the assembled run fills one side of a small terrace, and the back stands 76cm off the ground with the seat well below it. Set as an L on a deck, the corner sits at one end of the run.
The frames are acacia and the cushion covers are a jute and cotton blend. Acacia is high in its own oil, which is what lets it stand outside. It is treated with an outdoor sealant and will still go down to an aged grey over time. Cracks along the grain, and variation in colour and grain between one part and another, are normal in the timber rather than faults in it. The corner piece and the extension piece are also sold on their own, and Anbarasi runs to a coffee table and a side table.

Frequently Asked
What comes in the set?
One corner piece and three extension pieces, with a set of base cushions and back cushions.
How big is it assembled?
320cm across, 80cm deep, and 76cm to the top of the back.
Can it be left outside?
The frame is made for outdoor use. The cushions are water repellent but not fully weatherproof, so they should not be left out in showers or heavy rain, or outdoors overnight.
Can the pieces be bought separately?
Yes. The corner piece and the extension piece are each sold on their own.
Is there a table to go with it?
Anbarasi runs to a coffee table and a side table, both sold separately.
How should it be looked after?
Spot clean the cushions only. A yearly wash with warm water lifts algae and pollution off the timber and brings the surface back. Keep abrasive and corrosive products away from it, and store the furniture in a dry place over the winter months.
