Description

The Amita is a long candle holder in iron, finished in antique brass: a shallow boat-shaped tray 31cm from end to end and 8.5cm across, with four sockets set in a line along it. It stands 3cm high before the candles go in. The tray lifts at both ends and the underside is rounded rather than flat.

Four flames in a line along 31cm run with the length of a table rather than sitting as a block in the middle of it, so the width stays clear for dishes. At 3cm high the holder itself stays below a sightline across the table, and the tray catches the wax the candles drop.

The whole piece is iron under an antique brass finish, shaped and finished by hand, so the tone varies along the tray and from one holder to the next. It takes four taper candles. The candles are not included.

Frequently Asked

How many candles does it hold?

Four.

Taper candles, standing in the four sockets.

How much table does it take?

31cm end to end and 8.5cm across.

How do I look after it?

Wash it with a mild dish soap and warm water after each use so wax does not build up, and keep harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners off the finish.
