Description

The Amandi toilet roll holder is a deep rattan basket, 50cm tall, 30cm wide and 20cm front to back. The two side walls rise into tall points while the front and the back dip away between them in a deep curve, and a bamboo rod runs across the top from one point to the other. A roll threads onto the rod, and the basket below holds the spares.

At 50cm this stands on the floor beside a lavatory rather than fixing to a wall, so nothing has to be drilled. One roll goes on the rod and more stand in the basket below. It suits a cloakroom, or a bathroom where there is no clear run of wall to give up. The rod lifts out to load a roll and drops back into place.

The basket is rattan, woven in Indonesia using a traditional basket technique, with a rolled band around the foot and around the rim. The rod is bamboo. The Amandi range also holds a lidded laundry basket at 71cm.

Frequently Asked

How does the roll go on?

A bamboo rod runs across the top between the two raised sides. It lifts out so that a roll can be threaded on, then drops back into place.

Does it store spare rolls?

Yes. The basket below the rod is deep enough to take several.

Does it fix to the wall?

No. It stands on the floor.

What is it made from?

Rattan, with a bamboo rod.

How do I look after it?

Wipe it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners will damage the finish.
