Description

The Amalfi is a 38cm round side table built around two inverted conical forms in hand-stained dark mango wood, separated by a brass-effect aluminium band at the centre. The top cone presents as a shallow bowl with a flat rim, while the base cone tapers downwards from the metal ring to a 50cm height, giving the table a stable footprint without requiring additional weight.

Designed for use next to sofas, armchairs or as a bedside table in contemporary bedrooms, the Amalfi provides a surface height of 50cm from floor to rim, which sits approximately 10-15cm below typical sofa arm height. The 38cm diameter top accommodates a table lamp, drinks and books without overhang. The dark wood finish and brass-effect metal band pair comfortably with warm neutrals, greys and darker upholstery tones.

The mango wood is colour-washed and hand-stained, so each table shows grain variation and tonal differences depending on the section of timber used. The aluminium band is treated to give a brass-like finish without the weight or oxidation of solid brass. The combined weight of 5.12kg provides enough mass to sit securely on carpet or hard floors without needing anchoring.

The brass-effect finish on the aluminium band is applied as a treatment rather than solid brass. Polishing may remove the finish. For cleaning, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth and dry immediately.
