Description

The Altais is a 92cm linear suspension light with nine G9 LED bulbs housed in spherical double-glass shades, suspended from a matt black metal frame with chrome accent details. Each shade combines an inner opal glass diffuser with an outer clear glass shell, creating a layered glow that softens the light while keeping the bulb visible through the transparent outer layer. The light is dimmable via an included radio frequency remote control, allowing brightness adjustment without wall switches or app connectivity.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas where linear lighting is needed across a 180-240cm surface, the Altais provides both task and ambient light depending on dimmer setting. The 155cm maximum drop suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, with the minimum 65cm drop allowing installation in rooms with lower ceilings where the fitting needs to sit closer to the ceiling plane. The nine bulbs are arranged asymmetrically along the 92cm horizontal bar, giving a sculptural rather than regimented appearance.

The matt black finish on the metal frame absorbs light rather than reflecting it, keeping visual attention on the glass shades themselves. The chrome accents on the shade mounts and suspension points provide a reflective contrast without dominating the overall black-and-glass composition. The fitting includes a radio frequency remote control that communicates with a dimmer module housed in the ceiling canopy. Point the remote at the light and adjust brightness without needing line-of-sight. The remote does not require pairing or app connectivity.

What table length does this suit?

The 92cm width of the fitting works well over tables or islands between 180-240cm long. For shorter tables the light may overhang; for longer surfaces a second linear suspension or a different configuration may be needed.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The suspension cables are adjustable between 65cm minimum and 155cm maximum drop during installation. Once set, the height is fixed unless the fitting is taken down and adjusted again.
